Nina Ross, M.D.
Dr. Nina Ross received a Bachelors of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at Yale University and her medical degree from New York Medical College. She then completed her psychiatric training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Western Psychiatric Hospital and her forensic psychiatry training at Case Western Reserve University. She has also received additional training in reproductive psychiatry and specializes in women’s mental health needs in the pregnancy and postpartum period.
Dr. Ross is a dedicated medical educator. She is currently the Assistant Fellowship Director of the Hackensack Meridian Health Forensic Psychiatry fellowship. She served as Chief Resident for Education in residency and has received multiple teaching awards, including the faculty of the year award and the PGY-4 teaching award from the Case Western Reserve University psychiatry fellowship and the Western Psychiatric Hospital Outstanding Adult Psychiatry Resident Teaching Award. Her interest in teaching lends itself well to forensic psychiatry, allowing her to clearly communicate forensic findings to non-medical audiences. She is involved with the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, where she currently serves as the co-Chair of Gender Issues committee and was recently selected as the Early Career Councilor-Elect.
